The Bellingham Bay Fencing Association is a competitive club
with members fencing all three weapons in local and national
tournaments. We have been active in Bellingham for the last 13 years,
primarily through the Bellingham Parks Department under the direction of
Charlie Collier. Four years ago, Scott McEniry and Rance Bayman assumed
control when Charlie retired, and created a new club in partnership with the
Washington Fencing Academy. In 2004, Scott and Rance, in an effort to
promote a regional identity, formed the Bellingham Bay Fencing
Association.
It is our goal to create a club where families and
individuals can come together and have fun while learning how to fence.
We are committed to sharing our knowledge, and hope that all who take fencing
will have as much fun with it as we have had. We feel that fencing has a
lot to offer everybody, from people who see it as a novel way to stay in shape
to people who want to compete on a local, regional or national level.
